NewlyMate Game Show

September 30, 2008

On October 8 at 9:30 p.m. there will be a "NewlyMate" game show in the Residence dining hall. There will be a raffle for prizes and free food. Everyone is welcome to join the audience.

But if you think you know your roommate and want to participate. All you need to do is have you and your roommate sign up in your specific dining hall.

For Residence, you can sign up Sept. 29 and 30.

For Parkside, you can sign up Oct. 1 and 2.

Remember everything is free, so there is no excuse not to go.

Updates

September 30, 2008

Okay, right now I am getting in touch with my computer-savvy-self and changing each link on this page. That way it takes you to somewhere important and not just the sponsors of this really awesome layout I found.

Just in case, I want to let you know that I am not competing with "The Hall-Way." For those of you who don't know, that is the event calendar for the residence halls. Because I lived in the residence halls for two years, I know that they don't update as often when there are changes. I hope to update more than them, but I'm not making any promises.

My Mission

September 23, 2008

I am writing this blog not only for my Journalism 311 class but for the students who live on campus. Just in case you don't read those giant posters in the dining halls, I am going to blog about the upcoming events that are coming to you! I will cover these events that happen on campus and I might even take your picture! I also want to let you know about the news and updates that are happening in the halls as well.

To get the information I need I first plan to get in contact with the residence commons coordinators. They would be the first to know about any upcoming events that the halls put on for you.

I also want to talk with you, the students, that live in the halls. You are the main focus of this blog. You know all the background, behind the scene stuff and I want to know about it. I will be your own personal go-to-gal, or whatever you want to call me. Just e-mail me the information and who I can contact.
